The rose nights
The traditions and laws
The first tradition: The Masquerade
Thou shall not reveal thy true nature to those not of the Blood.
Doing such shall renounce thy claims of Blood.
Your title here…The second tradition: The Domain
Thy domain is thine own concern.
All others owe thee respect while in it.
None may challenge thy word while in thy domain.
The third tradition: The Progeny
Thou shall only Sire another with the permission of thine Elder.
If thou createst another without thine Elder’s leave, both thou and thy Progeny shall be slain.
The fourth tradition: The Accounting
Those thou create are thine own children.
Until thy Progeny shall be Released, thou shall command them in all things.
Their sins are thine to endure.
The fifth tradition: The Hospitality
Honor one another’s domain.
When thou comest to a foreign city, thou shall present thyself to the one who ruleth there.
Without the word of acceptance, thou art nothing.
The sixth tradition: The Destruction
Thou art forbidden to destroy another of thy kind.
The right of destruction belongeth only to thine Elder.
Only the Eldest among thee shall call the Blood Hunt.
Laws of Domain: Every clan has a domain to which they may feed and nothing more. All of Portland is the domain of the prince, and thus any outsiders wishing entry to his city must first be approved and acknowledged by him. The domain of Portland has been divided by clans as seen below.
Gangrel: The outskirts and the forests.
Bruja: Northern Portland
Tremere: Southern Portland
Nosferatu: Shanghai tunnels.
Malkavians: North East Portland.
Ventrue: East Portland
Other: See the prince to find an alternative domain to which you may feed.
Laws of Justice: If one is to be punished for a crime deemed by the prince, you may enact the form of punishment as long as you may find them and enact the punishment by the prince. This is the only time beyond a blood hunt that you may diablorize another with the blessings of the prince.
Laws of Feeding: You may feed on any man woman or beast within your domain, but know this, you are allowed one life to take per month from frenzy. Any more, and you will be hunted and be punished swiftly. You may not ever feed from a holy man (of any Aramaic faith) or child (beneath the age of 16) as deemed by the current prince.
Laws of Reason: You may plead to the prince to change or bend these rules due to your personal belief or behavior. If a Ventrue must drink from the blood of a child, then the prince will most probably find a way to help that kindred feed without harming children through blood donations. This will require either status, favors, or monetary temptations to keep these changes regulated.
Law of Disciplines: You may NEVER use disciplines on the prince at any time. To do so will result in the prince’s desecration, but a blood hunt will not be out of the question. To do so would be an attack on the prince, and by extension the Camarilla itself.
